Happy New Year!
Rix’s Sports Bar and Grill, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Lenny and I love to watch college football. We also enjoy a good hockey game. For New Year’s Eve we decided to go to one of our favorite Orlando haunts, Rix Sports Bar and Grill. Located in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Rix’s is a great place to enjoy good food and lots of sports. We had the extra treat of seeing the Coronado Springs Resort still dressed in its holiday finery.
Here is a picture of the two story Christmas tree located in the main lobby.

The entrance to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort was beautifully decorated for the holidays.

Lenny and I dined on nachos while watching college football. The nachos were huge and very filling…definitely more appropriate for a party of at least four. We had no room left for dinner.

Sports fans will be happy to know that there are TVs on all of the walls. There are a variety of viewing options. While we were there, not only was there a college football game in front of us, but we had good seats for basketball and hockey too. The staff will change the channel to any game you are interested in watching.

After our nachos, Lenny and I were pretty full. We decided to split the wedge salad. Lenny and I enjoy iceberg lettuce, blue cheese and bacon crumbles.
Unfortunately, our team was losing by halftime, and we hate driving on New Year’s Eve, so we decided to head home for the night.
This was not our first visit to Rix’s Sports Bar & Grill, nor will it be our last. A great place to have a hand crafted cocktail, local draft beers, a snack or even a meal while catching up on the latest sports news, Rix’s Sports Bar & Grill is a fun escape from the amusement park atmosphere. Reservations are typically easy to come by and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We recommend this restaurant for Disney vacationers and local residents alike.
Cheers to the New Year!
