Sweet Surprise: A First Look at Disney’s New Dole Whip Flavor

Attention adventurous Dole Whip lovers; a new food treat is now available! If you are sweet, a little tart, a risk-taker and enjoy exciting tastes, try the” I Lava You Float.”  Perfect for the summer heat, “I Lava You Float” is currently available at the Sunshine Tree Terrace at the Magic Kingdom. For those of you unfamiliar with the Sunshine Tree Terrace, it is located in Adventureland.  If you head toward Cinderella’s Castle, it is the first left hand turn from the center circle.  Continue through the Adventureland gates and you will see the Sunshine Tree Terrace on the righthand side.  

At $7.29, the I Lava You Float is made using Orange Dole whip, Fanta Strawberry Soda, Red Passion Fruit Syrup and Popping Candy (also known as Red Pop Rocks). All of these ingredients may be ordered online from Amazon.

Overall, we rated this treat a 10 out of 10 with no suggested improvements.  This Dole Whip float is an unusual taste combination certain to please the most discerning of Dole Whip fans.  Children and adults who enjoy unusual tastes will be in love with this treat.   

Orange Dole Whip tastes like a soft ice cream, not as rich as compared to gelato.  Surprisingly, the Orange Dole whip continued to be refreshing and did not take on the overly sweet flavor often associated with orange flavored items. We did not get sick of eating it as we got to the bottom of our cup. We could easily have eaten a second serving as this treat was both unique and delicious.
