Magic Kingdom’s Overnight Transformation

For guests of the Magic Kingdom, November 1, 2024 is a big day. The last of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties occurs on October 31st from 7PM to Midnight. After guests leave the park, immediately the elves begin working their magic.

When the first guests arrive at rope drop on November 1st, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is transformed into a holiday wonderland. The garland and wreaths are strung all along Main Street. Your intrepid reporters, Lenny and I decided to go in the evening, to enjoy the special holiday lights. Below are a couple of examples of what we saw:

We are excited to see the Magic Kingdom did not disappoint and the transformation to the holiday wonderland has begun.

Additionally, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts in just one week. Make your reservations in advance and plan to enjoy the special yummy treats, holiday themed rides (can anyone say Jingle Cruise?) and don’t forget about Minnie’s special fireworks. Annual passholders receive $10 off per person for this special event.

Christmas and holiday merchandise is available in the stores. While exploring the seasonal section of the Main Street shops Lenny and I saw kitchen ware, water bottles, Christmas tree ornaments, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and Loungefly mini-backpacks. See some of our treasures below:

Savvy shoppers know that these items and similar ones can be ordered in advance or during your trip to the Magic Kingdom, and shipped to home (thus avoiding souvenirs weighing down your luggage) from retailers like Amazon. For example, this Loungefly mini-backpack is Christmas Disney themed and complete with a sparkly red bow.

Stitch is a very trendy character at the parks this year. Even Stitch has his own mini-backpack purse which is holiday themed. This purse is similar to those found on Main Street and is currently less expensive.

Disney holiday and Christmas t-shirts and sweatshirts are very popular right now. Since Halloween is over, we saw many people in t-shirts, sweatshirts, and holiday ears.

The holidays are a very magical time of the year at the Disney parks. We will be keeping you informed of additional Christmas/holiday decorations and celebrations as they occur. Soon all of the Walt Disney World parks and hotels will be sporting their holiday trimmings. More to come.

Sincerely,

Jennifer
